A logical next step
"We are very happy with this acquisition,” says Ronald Benning, CEO of Royal Talens. “As the distributor of our Bruynzeel brand for decades, and since more recent years of all our brands, we know Hammeley as a very professional and trustworthy partner, both to its suppliers and customers. Under guidance of the retiring owner dr. Zanta, the company extended its presence in the Italian trade over the last decade. When approached for this acquisition, we proudly saw the natural fit between the business cultures and product mixes as opportunities to leverage these strengths of the two companies together. We are glad that the full Hammeley team and their dedicated 18 sales agents will continue their good work under guidance of current Commercial Director Angelo Mandelli, who has accepted the opportunity to expand the presence of all the brands Hammeley represents in the Italian market.”
“The experiences of our many years of joint collaboration have taught us that Royal Talens is a company that has made product quality and innovation essential features of its business conduct.”, says dr. Franco Zanta, major shareholder of Hammeley SRL. “Over the years they have shown us the intention and ability to invest in our growing mutual business. In the light of increasing challenges in today’s market the time was right for Hammeley to become part of a large group like Royal Talens. This will enable Hammeley to seize its great potential and take the next steps in expanding its position as a leading Italian distribution company, for the company itself, for its employees and its customers. I am confident that with this acquisition Hammeley’s complete customer satisfaction experience will be taken to the next level now these two historic companies will combine their forces in continuing to market and sell the major brands Hammeley is known for.”
